Line Pump Hire — Australia-Wide
Truck or Trailer mounted line pumps for slabs, footings, shotcrete and tight-access pours.
Overview
What is Line Pump Hire?
A line pump (also called a trailer pump or stationary pump) is a compact concrete pump mounted on a trailer or skid, paired with steel and rubber pipelines that carry concrete from the pump hopper to the placement point. Line pumps are ideal for sites where a boom pump can't access — narrow driveways, indoor pours, basements, shotcrete walls and remote locations. Pipeline can be extended to 200 metres or more, routed through buildings or up scaffolding. Line pumps handle a wide range of mixes including standard concrete, grout, screed and shotcrete, with outputs from 20 to 80 cubic metres per hour. They are the go-to choice for renovations, pool surrounds, swimming pool shells, footings and any pour where reach matters more than volume.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a line pump and a boom pump?
A line pump pushes concrete through ground-laid pipeline, while a boom pump uses a hydraulic articulating arm to place concrete from above. Line pumps are better for tight access and low volume; boom pumps are faster for large open pours.
How far can a line pump pump concrete?
Most line pumps comfortably push concrete 80–150 metres horizontally and 20–40 metres vertically. High-output units can run pipeline up to 250 metres depending on the mix design and pressure rating.
Can a line pump be used for shotcrete?
Yes — many line pumps in our network are configured for shotcrete with the correct hose, nozzle and air supply. Tell our dispatch team it's a shotcrete pour and we'll send a shotcrete-capable unit and operator.
How much does line pump hire cost?
Line pump hire typically starts from $600–$900 for a small residential pour and is charged on a call-out plus hourly basis. Pipeline distance, mix type and pour duration all affect the final price.
Do I need to provide water for the pump?
Yes. Line pumps need a clean water supply on site to prime the pipeline before the pour and to flush it afterwards. A standard garden hose connection is sufficient for most jobs.

What builders say about line pumps
Called Aussie Concrete Pumpers at 6am for a bridge pour the next day. They had a 52m boom on site, on time, with the right operator. One phone call — sorted.
We use ACP across three states now. The operators are consistent, the paperwork is always in order and dispatch actually picks up the phone. Makes our job easier.
First time hiring a concrete pump. The team walked me through what I needed, sent a line pump that fit our access and the operator was a pro. Couldn't fault it.
